Aquaculture Strategic Plan
In 1999, the Newfoundland Aquaculture Industry Association, in conjunction with the former Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, currently the Department of Innovation, Business and Rural Development, and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Services Canada developed the Newfoundland and Labrador Aquaculture Strategic Plan.
Since this time the strategic plan was updated in 2002 and 2005 to reflect the direction and needs of the industry.
